2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you represent that you are authorised to do so.

These terms apply to use of the website and to any preliminary enquiry. A formal legal services engagement is subject to a separate engagement letter, which sets out the specific scope, terms, and fees for your matter.

3. Services

Titian Adil provides family law services in Malaysia, including but not limited to: confidential family consultations, divorce and separation representation, and custody and maintenance support. Services are available to clients in Malaysia, primarily within Selangor and the Klang Valley.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. The information provided is for general informational purposes only. A formal solicitor-client relationship is only established upon the signing of an engagement letter and the payment of agreed fees.

4. User Responsibilities

When using our website and engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information in all communications and forms
  • Not use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others

Final fees are set out in our engagement letter prior to commencement of any work. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or cash at our Subang Jaya office. All fees are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).

Fees paid for a consultation are non-refundable once the consultation has taken place. For ongoing matters, payment terms are specified in the engagement letter. We reserve the right to cease work on a matter if invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed terms.

7. Confidentiality

All information shared with us in the course of an engagement is subject to legal professional privilege and our duty of confidentiality as solicitors under Malaysian law. We will not disclose your information to any third party except as required by law, court order, or with your express written consent.

We make no representation regarding the outcome of any legal matter we handle. While we aim to provide thorough and professional representation, we cannot predict or warrant specific legal outcomes.

This website is provided "as is" without any warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Titian Adil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or from reliance on any content contained herein.

Our liability in connection with any legal services engagement shall be limited to the fees paid by you for that specific matter, except in cases of fraud or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for professional negligence where applicable professional standards have been breached.

10. Termination of Engagement

Either party may terminate a legal services engagement by providing written notice. We reserve the right to cease acting for a client where there is a conflict of interest, non-payment of fees, or breakdown of the solicitor-client relationship.

On termination, any outstanding fees for work completed to that point become immediately payable. We will provide your file to you or your new solicitor in a timely manner, subject to any lien for unpaid fees.

Sections 7 (Confidentiality), 8 (Disclaimers), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Governing Law) survive termination of these terms.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Titian Adil, its partners, associates, and employees from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions or your misuse of our website or services.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Before commencing any formal legal proceedings, we encourage parties to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We are also open to mediation as a means of resolving disputes where appropriate.

Entire Agreement: These Terms and any engagement letter constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter herein.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in the future.
